The UnSchool Of Disruptive Design
THE UNSCHOOL OF DISRUPTIVE DESIGN
An experimental knowledge lab for creative rebels and change agents founded in 2014, the UnSchool is helping to bridge the knowledge-action gap and building a thriving global community of creative rebels and change agents who challenge the status quo to create positive social change.
The UnSchool is an experiment into the ways in which we can transfer knowledge in non-traditional, equitable, and universal ways. It is intended to challenge the status quo around mainstream educative structures and to find unique ways of activating change in micro and macro ways, globally. The school is a social enterprise that's specifically designed to create an activated global community that is empowered to create change within their local communities.
The UnSchool teaches the Disruptive Design Methodology and Method set, has over 150 alumni from 32 countries, is establishing a community-driven Labs initiative, and in 2017, will be running its first year-long alternative Masters program.
The UnSchool also offers online classes in the entire 12-unit DD Methodology set.
The UnSchool runs several flagship programs that pop up around the world, including a 7-day intensive fellowship. From a large pool of applicants, 16-20 people are taken on a surprise-filled, super-intensive, city-based adventure into all things systems change, sustainability, social innovation, and creative change making. Bringing in international mentors and hosting a wide range of events, the program is unforgettable and transformative in its design.
